Screenings and audience discussion sessions are available for your school, university or community.

Screenings of Before the Trees Was Strange are followed by a discussion of the film and generally includes members of the community as a part of the panel. This has proven to be a very successful way to engage audiences to talk about the issues of race in our communities.

A screening of the film is followed by a discussion with a varied panel chosen by the communtiy to help engage the audience. Derek begins the discussion asking the audience for feedback about their own stories that arise from seeing the film and the audience is asked to share experiences they’ve had prompted by the film. The panel is then asked to respond as the discussion is opened up to everyone.
